Tomorrow I will be sore, because today I shovel six inches of snow.
Clean the driveway and side walk in preparation for dinner guests who do not need to wade through six inches of snow or possibly slip and fall onto concrete because of this snow!
Yet this snow is so beautiful. As I lift each heavy shovel full of this very wet snow, I marvel to think that each flake is shaped differently.
Imagine all the different ways that water can freeze. It baffles my mind. And this snow is only one tiny little part of God’s unique creation.
Through the shoveling I am mindful of how little control of life I really have. I can’t cause it to snow. I can’t even cause the ice to freeze. I also can only shovel for as long as my body will hold out from the labor.
Seen through His creation, I am grateful that my God, the God I serve with my whole being, is so much more than myself.
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27 NASB
